The Town of Castle
Rock is experiencing unprecedented levels of growth and in few short years have
seen several sports, live entertainment and parks come available. In
order to accommodate the ever-growing population, policy and procedures needed
to be established to ensure enjoyment for years to come. I was retained
to establish a large-scale events and sponsorship program as well as a
permitting process for outside events. The Special Events Policy Guidebook
was a result of extensive process analysis, benchmarking of other
municipalities and collaboration with subject matter experts.
The result of these
efforts is a magazine style, easy to read guide that has become an
award-winning industry standard for its ease of use across many departments and
processes.
